Advanced Practice Provider Skills Day: Improving Compliance and Standardizing Care

Abstract: Advanced Practice Providers (APP) with the Duke Adult Bone Marrow Transplant (ABMT) Program, recently reviewed compliance for our APP group based upon our state licensing requirements, credentialing, and collaborative practice agreement (CPA). These requirements were reviewed in detail to ensure our APPs at Duke ABMT were up to date and compliant in their daily practice. We discovered that APPs are expected to have their procedure skills reviewed and validated on a yearly basis with signatures as documentation of completion.
