Abstract: There is an analysis of quantity sign representation in semantics of the verbs (based on material of published literary Don Cossacks’ fairytales). Quantity sign is discovered in the verbs with discrete and non-discrete semantics in various ways lexical-semantic, morphological, syntax and derivational. The most typical lexical-semantic ways are aspect and manner of the verb acting. The morphological way includes the use of singular and plural number. at the same time, combination of the verbs with the words and the phrases having quantity meaning belongs to the syntax way of representation of quantity. Derivational way observes units formed using some morphemes (often affixal ones) which give to the producing verb the meaning of extreme manifestation of one or another sign. The units which semantics are intensified with the help of combination of cognate words, synonyms and words with the amplifying meaning as well as the dialectical lexical units with transformed meaning occur outside the classification.
