"Always a Poem, Once a Book": Motivations and Strategies for Print Textualizing of Caribbean-Canadian Dub and Performance Poetry
Year: 2005
Type: article
Abstract: This article traces the origins and routes of Dub and performance poetry from the Caribbean to Canada as one channel of the diaspora. Since many of the proponents of this art form define an oral beginning for dub poetry, there also exists a debate as to the legitimacy of print publication. This is discussed at some length in the article.
