Abstract: The article looks at various methodological problems in political science. It shows that the existing scientific paradigms are contradictory and suggests avoiding mutual exclusion of different paradigms in politological studies. Instead the author suggests looking for a compromise between various politological paradigms and formulating the provisions they share in common so as they would be acceptable for the representatives of various schools and concepts.
