Abstract: Summary A comparative study on différent lots of Centella asiatica, two from Madagascar (supplied by IMRA) and two from India, was performed. The HPLC analysis (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) of different lots of plant from Madagascar reveals a higher proportion of asiaticoside than the plant from India. Studies of the free radical scavenger potential and of the antielastase activity (in vitro test) show a more important activity for the extract of Centella asiatica from Madagascar.
