Abstract: Palladium-catalyzed α-arylation reactions of ketones with simultaneous ortho alkylation offer 1,2,3-substituted arenes. The reactions of 1,ω-dihaloalkanes also allow facile construction of medicinally important tetralines and benzocycloheptenes.
