Year: 2016
Type: article
Study design: Case Report
Abstract: The patient was a 51-year-old woman who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at age 46, achieved remission after Adriamycin-based chemotherapy, but developed severe Adriamycin-induced cardiomyopathy. She was implanted with a left ventricular assist device at age 49, and underwent an orthotopic heart transplant 9 months prior to this presentation. At the time of transplant, she received induction therapy with antithymocyte globulin (total dose 4 mg/kg) and was started on maintenance therapy with tacrolimus (target level 10–13 mg/dL), mycophenolate mofetil (1500 mg BID), and prednisone.
