Post-Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation Maintenance Dasatinib in Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Leukemia
Year: 2017
Type: article
Abstract: Introduction: The Philadelphia (Ph) chromosome is a common cytogenetic abnormality in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and Acute Leukemias of Ambiguous Lineage (ALAL). It is a poor prognostic factor, thus recommendations are for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in the first complete remission (CR). Use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) with chemotherapy in initial treatment of Ph+ acute leukemia is well established. Their role in post-transplant maintenance is not well defined.
