Abstract: Background: Caregivers (i.e. family and close friends) of patients undergoing HCT experience substantial psychological distress as they watch their loved ones struggle with transplant toxicities. In this randomized trial, we assessed the impact of an inpatient palliative care intervention on caregivers' QOL and mood during their loved ones' hospitalization for HCT.
