Outcomes in Hodgkin Lymphoma Patients Following Allogeneic Transplant after Post-Autologous Transplant Consolidation Therapy with Brentuximab Vedotin: Results of an Exploratory Analysis in the AETHERA Trial
Year: 2017
Type: article
Abstract: Background: Allogeneic transplantation (alloHCT) has historically represented the last treatment strategy with curative potential for patients (pts) with multiple relapsed/refractory Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). However, alloHCT for HL is associated with high rates of transplant-related mortality and 3-year overall survival of approximately 30% [1,2]. The phase 3 AETHERA trial (#NCT01100502) demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival for brentuximab vedotin (BV) over placebo (PBO) in pts with HL who were at high risk of progression following autologous transplantation (autoHCT) (HR = .57, P = .001) [3].
