Treatment of CNS-Restricted Familial Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis with Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
Year: 2017
Type: article
Abstract: Familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (FHL) is a lethal inherited disorder resulting in primary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is curative therapy for FHL. Central nervous system (CNS) manifestations are common in systemic HLH, but it is incompletely characterized if CNS-restricted cases of HLH can occur in the absence of systemic HLH findings, and whether CNS-restricted HLH responds to HCT.
