What can we learn from the history of our museums? Comments on Sten Rentzhog’s Open Air Museums: The History and Future of a Visionary Idea
Year: 1970
Type: article
Abstract: I first visited Skansen during 1991 as an invited guest at the Association of European Open-Air Museums (AEOM) conference. I am delighted to return sixteen years later to participate in the conference convened to discuss Dr. Sten Rentzhog’s new book, Open Air Museums: The History and Future of a Visionary Idea. It is wonderful to see things I recognize, including warm smiles from colleagues and happy visitors at Skansen.
