Abstract: INDONESIA: \n \nPembelajaran kaidah bahasa Arab bagi sebagian mahasiswa bahasa Arab yang bukan penutur asli (Indonesia) dianggap sebagai kaidah yang sulit dan menakutkan terutama dalam pembelajaran kaidah shorof karena mempunyai materi yang berisikan kaidah-kaidah yang sangat banyak. Oleh sebab itulah mereka tidak menyukai bahkan menjauhi kaidah shorof. Seperti yang terjadi pada mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab. Mereka merasa bahwa kaidah shorof itu sulit karena sebagian dari mereka belum pernah belajar kaidah shorof sebelumnya. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, maka peneliti mencoba memecahkannya dengan menggunakan mind mapping untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kaidah shorof. \n \nTujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan mind mapping untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kaidah shorof dan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan mind mapping untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kaidah shorof dan untuk mengetahui pemikiran serta motivasi mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kaidah shorof dengan menggunakan mind mapping. \n \nMetode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yaitu quasi experimental design dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, angket, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan metode kuantitatif. \n \nHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan kaidah shorof dengan menggunakan mind mapping terdiri dari 8 langkah. Dan penggunaan mind mapping untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kaidah shorof mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab di Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang adalah efektif. Dengan hasil “uji t” antara 2 kelompok 3,63% lebih besar dari tingkat kemaknaan 1% = 2,831% begitu pula 5% = 2,073, yang artinya diterima atau hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. Serta penggunaan mind mapping membangkitkan motivasi mahasiswa dan mereka berpikir bahwa mind mapping sesuai untuk kaidah shorof. \n \nENGLISH: \n \nLearning the rules of the Arabic language for some students of Arabic who are not native speakers (Indonesia) considered as the difficult and scary rules especially learning the rules of shorof. It is because Shorof has material that contains many norms. This is what happen in the students of Arabic language education department. They feel that it is hard to learn the rules shorof because most of them had never learned the rules of shorof before. Based on these problems, the researcher tried to solve it by using mind mapping to improve the the mastery of the rules of shorof. \n \nThe objective of this research are: First, to know the use of mind mapping in incresing the mastery of the rules of shorof. Second, to know the effectiveness of using mind mapping to increase the mastery of the rules of shorof. Third, to know the thought and motivation majors among the Arabic Language Education students to increase the mastery of the rules of shorof of using mind mapping. \n \nThe method of this research uses experimental method that is quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design by using a quantitative approach. While for the data collection techniques are: tests, forms of questions, and documents. The data analysis technich in this research is qualitative methods and quantitative method. \n \nThe result shows that mastering the rules of shorof by using mind mapping consists of 8 steps. Finally, the use of mind mapping in increasing the mastery of the rules of shorof among Arabic Education students in Maulana Malik Ibrahim, State Islamic University of Malang is effective. As the results of the "t-test" between two groups 3.63% is greater than the level of significance 1% = 2.831% and 5% = 2.073, it means that the hypothesis research is accepted or acceptable. And the used of mind mapping is getting up of motivation majors and they are thinking of mind mapping accord with the rules of shorof.
