Cross-national Exploration of Older Adults’ Alcohol Use

Abstract: Data on alcohol and older populations will be presented from multiple international studies. The presentations will address the epidemiology of alcohol consumption. Specifically data will be shared on cross national drinking patterns, lifecourse trajectories and risks of chronic disease,exiting the labor market and its impact on risk for problem drinking, binge drinking and angina in low and middle income countries, and demographic, socioeconomic and health factors associated with alcohol consumption.
