Abstract: Trditionally, most reformist movements in the Islamic Maghreb resulted in the appearance of new political entities . These were based on Oriental ideologies with reformist projects leading social mobility against the existing power and the way it managed crises that carved the cohesion of society. On the basis of the Almohad era, noble lineage became a crucial element in supporting the legitimacy of power Hence, the purpose of this article is to view the interaction between honour and authority in the Maghreb during the Zayyanid era and how honour was used as a political ideology to justify political and fibnancial choices;
