Abstract: The main goal of the paper is to study technology of coal extraction in western Donbass The present paper proposes a new approach to solve a problem of mining equipment selection for longwall faces western Donbass.. The present paper describes new method for selection of mining equipment based on theory graph. The authors described methods for selecting mining equipment and experiences of mining thin and very thin coal seams in Ukraine. A study of equipment range of coal is essential for coal mines.
