Microglial Location, Morphology, and Cognitive Performance in Mold-Exposed Mice

Year: 2017
Type: dissertation
Abstract: We examined changes in brain microglia and cognitive performance following mold exposure and doxycycline administration. Neither mold nor doxycycline caused significant changes in microglial location or morphology. While greater numbers of microglia in control-treated mice were linked with improved performance, greater numbers in mold-treated mice were linked to memory impairments.
