Abstract: In this position paper, we propose a focus group protocol based on an anthropomorphism approach that can be used with both patients and caregivers to select suitable gamification mechanics in an eHealth or well-being context. In our current project, where we will apply this protocol, we are investigating whether the combination of gamification and context-aware recommender techniques can increase the motivation of people to adhere to telemonitoring actions. This proposed focus group protocol might also be useful in other domains, for example to select gamification mechanics in a well-being and flourishing context.
