Abstract: The experience of andragogical background of pedagogical staff as teachers for adult education and a variety of approaches to the definition of «andragogical background» have been presented in the paper. It has been summarized the current practice of andragogical background and defined features of the modern state of andragogical background. It was found that the term «andragogical background» has not yet entered into a scientific turn. This andragogical background process is fragmented and has not yet acquired the characteristics of a holistic andragogical process. It is proved that the scientific basis of the activities of the pedagogical staff in various forms of information and educational interaction with adults only begin to take shape. Adults have been classified as subjects of andragogical process. It is proposed to organize the training of pedagogical staff as the teachers to educate adults on a specialty «Pedagogy of Higher Education» qualification «teacher-andragogue».
