Abstract: The email with which Ullrich Kockel informed me of being chosen to join first him and then Patrick Laviolette in the editorship of AJEC was one of very good news in the last weeks of the summer semester here. I really feel honoured by this decision and I am looking forward very much to being part of this outstanding journal team.
