Abstract: Backgound: The major complications of allogeneic bone marrow transplantation are relapse, acute and chronic Graft-vs-Host Disease (aGvHD; cGvHD) and opportunistic infections, especially cytomegalovirus (CMV). In this study, we investigated the effect of cGvHD on susceptibility to murine CMV infection following allogeneic BMT, focusing on the contribution of cGvHD to functional immunodeficiency.
