Abstract: This is our final report as the Editors of Sociology.It has been a privilege to edit this key journal -for the discipline and the BSA -over the last five years.We have been one of the longest serving editorial teams and what we have enjoyed the most about our time in this role is the experience of being at the heart of the sociology community -which is what editing Sociology feels like.We hope that we and the journal have also contributed to sustaining and developing the discipline in productive and diverse ways and we are pleased to be handing Sociology on, in a state of good health, to the incoming editorial team.In this final report we look back over the key trends in what has been another successful year for the journal but we also use this as an opportunity to take a longer view and revisit the ambitions we had when we applied to become Editors way back in 2012.When we came to the journal we identified our main intentions as:
