Genome-Wide Significant Donor Genetic Associations with Death Due to Disease in AML and MDS Patients in the First 1 Year after BMT are Not Modified by Conditioning Intensity or TBI
Year: 2018
Type: article
Abstract: The DISCOVeRY-BMT genome-wide association study previously reported significant genetic variants associated with OS, PFS, TRM and death due to disease (DD) within 1 year after HLA-matched unrelated donor BMT. We performed a gene-drug interaction study in these patients to determine whether the effect of genetic variants in donors on DD differed by conditioning intensity (myeloablative (MA) or reduced (RIC)) as we previously identified multiple functional regions in donor genomes on chromosomes 5, 9 and 14 associated with DD.
