Long Term Quality of Life in Lymphoma Patients after Autologous Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
Year: 2018
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Background: High dose chemotherapy followed by hematopoietic cell rescue (autoHCT) is associated with higher acute morbidity compared to conventional chemotherapy but there are few studies describing the long-term impact of autoHCT on quality of life (QOL). We aimed to study QOL at 3 years and 6 years post diagnosis in lymphoma patients who underwent autoHCT and compare it to lymphoma patients that did not undergo autoHCT.
