Outcomes and Risks of Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant for Hematological Malignancies in Patients with HIV Infection
Year: 2018
Type: article
Abstract: Background: Prevalence worldwide of HIV is currently around 37 million. Those infected are at increased risk of developing hematological malignancies (HM). Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (autoHSCT) is a potentially curative therapy for HM. Many uncertainties exist for HSCT in HIV patients including conditioning regimens, the risk of infection and outcomes.
