Abstract: relative risk of open conversion, the overall clinical outcomes are similar.We believe that EBL and open conversion rate decrease with experience as our overall open conversion rate for our 104 LPN's is now <5%.We also believe that the ability to get accurate pathologic diagnosis and complete resection of the lesion is a distinct advantage of LPN.Therefore, we would advocate laparoscopic partial nephrectomy over cryoablation in the treatment of small peripheral renal masses.
