Abstract: The use of stem-cell transplantation in the treatment of benign and malignant hematological diseases has been increasing dramatically, but the cost of transplantation remains high. There are limited data on the specific costs associated with autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). Our objective was to determine cost and health care resource utilization in adult patients undergoing ASCT and identify predictors of increased cost.
