Abstract: Information feedback is an important driver of iteration in development projects. Feedback emerges for various reasons and from different information sources and channels. This paper seeks to support the systematic exploration of information feedback in development. It identifies characteristics of iterative situations through literature analysis and proposes a classification schema. The identified characteristics relate to projects, processes, products and product life cycle management. Future research topics are the detailed analysis of information sources, channels and information quality.
