In this article, we will investigate the violence caused by the ideological stances brought forth by the dogmatization of the official interpretation of ideas and philosophy during various episodes of Mexican history. We will examine the foundation charter of the Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico in the sixteenth century, Sister Juana Inés de la Cruz's ideas in the seventeenth century, and Manuel Gómez Morin's idea of autonomy in the university in the twentieth century. This investigation shows that the principle of philosophical ideas and university must be the product of a free, critical, and rational spirit.
