Heterogeneity of Treatment Effect by Baseline Risk in a Trial of Balanced Crystalloids versus Saline
Year: 2018
Type: article
Abstract: from patients with non-PH IPF in a cohort study (8).This may be a result of the absence of severe PH in these patients, or because of differences in the mechanisms driving PH in IPF versus PAH.We conclude that nintedanib shows disadvantageous effects in PAH, and future investigations are needed to reveal the precise underlying mechanisms. Moreover, the effect of this agent on pulmonary hemodynamics in patients with IPF and severe accompanying PH should be investigated in future studies.
