Abstract: Recent conjectures to distinguish theories in the swampland (the space of all low energy effective theories), which have a string theory and thus quantum gravity origin (completion) imply strict conditions for inflation models, ruling out all together many of them. The author shows how classes of logarithmic potentials, as they occur in certain string-constructions, can resolve those tensions.
