Flexible Transparent Conductors: Stretchable Transparent Conductive Films from Long Carbon Nanotube Metals (Small 38/2018)
Year: 2018
Type: article
Abstract: Carbon nanotube metals in a polydimethylsiloxane composite exhibit distinct electromechanical responses under high tensile strain. In article number 1802625, YuHuang Wang and co-workers demonstrate that long nanotubes efficiently bridge strain-induced cracks in the composite, maintaining high conductivity even after 1000 stretch-release cycles, while short nanotubes respond sensitively to shape changes, enabling both motion sensors and transparent conductors to be built from the same carbon material.
