Abstract: Proceeding from the fundamental distinction between norms of conduct and sanction norms, Christian Kalin examines how corruptive behaviour may influence the validity of legal transactions. In particular, he develops a system of conflict of laws rules which reflects the general nature of substantive norms of conduct.
