Abstract: The Cover Feature shows a Chinese knot (left) that represents an interwinding DNA cruciform structure (background). At positive template superhelicities, mechanical cooperativity in a DNA cruciform strengthens its mechanical stability, which is depicted by its capability to hold a heavier lock than that sustained by a regular structure without mechanical cooperativity (right).
