Abstract: This study aims at defining the content of the right to environment, and determining the holdersof this right andits nature. Weconcluded that the object of this right has two significations: A restrictedsignification consisting of the natural environment, and alarge signification including besides the previous components the industrial environment. We also concluded that we should adopt the restricted signification, by adding animals, plants andenvironmental diversity. Furthermore, it would be necessary to try to divide this right in a number of independent rights, such as the right to water, the right to air…etc. This study also found that Manshould be the axis of the right to environment, and that this right should be individual in order to give it better protection, this right should be is exercised jointly.
