Abstract: Resumen: Se examinan críticamente algunas de las principales interpretaciones del pensamiento de Leo Strauss que lo relacionan tanto con el gobierno conservador de George Bush y la justificación de la guerra en Irak, como con la teología política de Carl Schmitt, para concluir que Strauss tiene muy poco que ver con ambos, si bien comparte algunos puntos de vista.
