Abstract: This Special Issue of the Journal of Comparative Neurology is dedicated to the memory of Vivien Casagrande, who died at home on January 21, 2017, after over a year fighting cancer.She loved her work, and struggled to continue until the end, coming to department meetings to advise and discuss, even when it was obviously difficult to do this.
