Abstract: This paper investigates the price performance of new issues of common stock at the time of initial listing and during the period following their initial listing on The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange during the period January 1980 to December 1989. The results indicate significant returns at the time of initial listing and insignificant returns during the period following their initial listing.
