Articulaciones múltiples en la frontera sur cordobesa y Mamüel Mapu (1836-1851)

Type: article
Abstract: This article studies the interethnic conflict in the south of the province of Córdoba (Argentina)between 1836 and 1852. Its purpose is to address the complexity and multiplicity of the linksbetween the Ranquel people and Chilean Indians who traveled to the Indian villages (tolderías)in the dry pampa, and also analyze the sociopolitical processes triggered in Argentina and Chilein the 19th century. This was achieved by reviewing border documentation (both published andunpublished). The study argues that the bonds that supported these political articulations revealmechanisms that overlap and complement social forces in conflict. These were relevant enoughto make the processes that occurred in this section of the Argentine internal border distinctive.
