Abstract: Penal texts have goals and objectives that the legislator seeks to achieve through them, perhaps the most important of which is the criminal protection of social interests deemed worthy of such protection and care, the provision of security, stability and reassurance for individuals, and the satisfaction of the social sense of justice through the impact of imposing a penal penalty on the perpetrator of a crime. Because sound logic dictates that everything that has a beginning can expire and end, penal texts can also expire and end with the ruling they contain. The expiration of a penal text means putting an end to its legal existence. This is achieved by legally abolishing it.
