Abstract: The LEP2 accelerator started producing WW pairs in June 1996. This article summarizes the first physics results obtained with the 1996 data sample and examines the prospects for the whole life of the accelerator, which will run until, at least, 1999. The two main topics on WW physics are discussed in detail: the determination of the W mass and the studies of the couplings among three gauge vector bosons.
