Abstract: & & .I & -Based on modeling experiment of buspirone we synthesized the sterically restricted analog, namely the piperidine 3,4-trans-amino amide (3).Preliminary biological evaluation is reported.The disclosure that buspirone (I), an anxiolytic drug, has high selective affinity for 5HTln recept~rsla~b led us to investigate the structural correlation between buspirone and the piperidine analog of 1,2-amino amide U-48,753 (2).
