Abstract: Cyclocarbonylation reactions of a series of enediynes, promoted by pentacarbonyliron, proceed selectively on the diyne, resulting in the formation of cyclopentadienone-iron tricarbonyl complexes, without competing enyne cyclocarbonylation.
