Domestication of the rabbit, Oryctolagus cuniculus (L.), at Lattara
Year: 2019
Type: preprint
Abstract: A multivariate analysis of six measurements on the pelvis of rabbits from various contexts at the site of Lattara showed that there were morphological differences from modern wild rabbits as well as an increase in size. The conclusion is that rabbits were already being deliberately bred in the 4 th century BC and probably in the 1st century AD as well.
