Year: 2016
Type: dissertation
Abstract: The objectives were to investigate the effect of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) on prostate specific antigen (PSA) through two studies: 1) Determine the effect of ALA-enriched diet on PSA levels and serum ALA concentrations, through a secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial in type 2 diabetes patients. 2) Determine the effect of ALA on prostate cancer cell growth and PSA production.
