MON-080 Change of Assistant in Assisted Peritoneal Dialysis: Risk Factors and Associated Outcome
Year: 2019
Type: conference-abstract
Abstract: Assisted peritoneal dialysis has gained much popularity over the last two decades. This is mainly attributed by increased number of elderly frail with multiple comorbidities end stage renal disease (ESRD) who chose for long term renal replacement therapy. Self-care PD will be almost impossible in view of their frailty and hence they required an assistant to perform daily PD exchanges. Assistant for PD in our setting was referred as any dedicated family members who passed PD assessment and trained by our PD nurses.
