Sat-098 Global Methylome Analysis of Single Cysts in Human Adpkd
Year: 2019
Type: conference-abstract
Abstract: Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) is a heritable renal disease that causes enlargement of the kidneys due to the development of fluid-filled cysts, and results in end-stage kidney disease in adults and a reduced life expectancy. While it is understood that mutation within one of the genes PKD1, PKD2, GANAB or DNAJB11 is required for the development of ADPKD, the underlying mechanisms initiating and progressing ADPKD are not well understood, and subsequently there are limited treatment options.
