Green with jealousy: Drinking problems as a function of jealousy and drinking to cope.

Abstract: Students responded to a series of questions regarding feelings of jealousy in their close interpersonal relationships, motivations for drinking, and alcohol related problems. Results indicated that jealousy significantly predicted negative drinking outcomes. Further, results indicated the relationship between jealousy and problem drinking was partially mediated by drinking to cope.
