Abstract: blinded for clinical data and scan parameters. Results: All baseline foci of pericortical enhancement had remained stable over time and one de novo leakage focus was detected. Pericortical enhancement appeared visually more hyperintense on the hT2w compared with the regular pcFLAIR images. In one case (#3) two additional foci of enhancement were detected on the hT2w pcFLAIR image acquired 16 minutes after contrast administration, and in another case (#2) a focus of enhancement disappeared on the regular pcFLAIR image acquired 2 hours after contrast administration, which remained visible on the hT2w FLAIR sequence (figure Conclusions: We showed that detection of pericortical enhancement can be facilitated with a hT2w pcFLAIR sequence and that the leakage focus remains stable over a period of several months and up to several hours after contrast administration. Future studies should choose their pcFLAIR sequence parameters carefully for assessing pericortical enhancement. Reference: 1.
