Cover Feature: Synthesis and Anticancer Activity of Structure Simplified Naturally Inspired Dimeric Chromenone Derivatives (Eur. J. Org. Chem. 41/2019)
Year: 2019
Type: article
Abstract: The Cover Feature shows phomo-xanthone A, a naturally occurring secondary metabolite with promising anticancer activity that can be isolated from the Phomopsis fungus. Several phomoxanthone A-inspired structure simplified dimeric chromenones, with promising anticancer activity are also depicted. The structure simplified dimers are readily accessible by chemical synthesis and may serve as useful lead compounds for drug discovery and cancer research.
